This Is The Time To Win Championships

The common thought is that you have to win every race to win championships and that the races are the only thing that matter. Sometimes that may be true, but championships are truly won during another time.

The way you perform during the races is important. You have to be able to last the entire season and perform at a high level. The time where championships are truly won is during the off season. This may be a summer break or after the season ends up until the next season starts. That is where you build yourself to be unbreakable.

Championships are won with the right engine, the right fueling strategy, the right tactics, and the right recovery protocols. Without strong scores in each of those categories, it will be very difficult, if not, impossible for you to perform at a championship level.

Currently, we are approaching the summer break for most race seasons. I am going to go out on a limb and say that you did not perform the way you wanted. I say this because everyone has gaps that need to be fixed. These gaps are breakdown in one or more of these four categories: your body's engine, your recovery, your tactics, or your fueling strategy. And right now is the perfect time to fix the gaps.

This summer break is long enough and a perfect time to build your systems for you to come out swinging the next half of the season. It is also short enough to waste by hesitating. Championships are rarely won during the first half, they are won based on how you perform the second half. I know from experience.

When I won the National Hare and Hound Open A Championship, the first half of the season did not go the way I planned. I DNF'd 2 rounds. Then I took the summer break to focus on my gaps and showed up the second half of the season. I podiumed the remaining rounds and secured the title at the last round. That is what is takes.

The time to win your championship is now. It is during the breaks in the season so you can become unstoppable. It is very difficult to make gains in these categories during the season because you are focused on performing, recovering, and maintaining. Here is the takeaway from all this.

Use this break to focus on building the systems that attack the gaps you have. So you can come out at the next round and perform at your best. That is the reason why I build the Performance Audit. If you do not know where to start, start by taking the audit and we will identify where your gaps are. The time is now. Stop waiting. Let's go win you a championship.
